1. About these terms
1.1 This website is run by Lumos (company registration and licence in progress), Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("Lumos", "we", "us").
1.2 By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1.3 These terms cover the website only. Buying, holding, selling and redeeming metal through the Lumos app is governed by our Terms and Conditions. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
2. Information only
2.1 The site gives general information about Lumos and about gold and silver. It is not an offer to sell anything, and it is not investment, tax or legal advice.
2.2 Features described as coming next, such as paying with gold or borrowing against it, are plans. They may change, arrive later or not launch.
2.3 The value of gold and silver can go down as well as up. Think about your own situation, and take advice if you need it, before you buy.
3. Prices on this site
3.1 Prices on the site, including on the live prices page and in the calculator, are indicative. They move with the market and may be delayed.
3.2 Rates for purities other than 24K are worked out for comparison only. Lumos trades 24K gold and 999 silver.
3.3 The price that applies to a trade is the quote shown in the app when you confirm.
4. The waitlist and enquiries
4.1 If you join the waitlist, we use your email to tell you when the app opens and to send launch news. We do not sell it or share it for others' marketing.
4.2 If you send a business enquiry, our partnerships team uses your details to reply and to discuss working together.
4.3 You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by writing to [email protected].
4.4 Joining the waitlist does not open an account or reserve a price.
5. How you may use the site
You may browse the site for your own information. You must not:
- copy, scrape or collect prices or other content by automated means, or reuse them commercially without our written permission;
- try to get into parts of the site or our systems you are not meant to;
- overload, disrupt or attack the site, or introduce harmful code;
- submit false details, or someone else's details, in our forms;
- use the site in any way that breaks the law.
6. Our content
The Lumos name, logo, design, text, images and app screens on the site belong to us or our licensors. You may not use them without our written permission, except to share a link to the site.
7. Links to other sites
The site may link to other websites. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content or how they use your data.
8. Availability
We try to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, error free or up to date. We may change or remove parts of it at any time.
9. Our liability
9.1 We are not responsible for any loss that comes from relying on information on the site, or from the site being unavailable.
9.2 Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence or anything else that UAE law does not allow us to limit.

We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date shown at the top.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in Dubai. Disputes will be decided by the courts of Dubai.
